Asia PE : SE Asia prices rise with higher offers, Chinese market stable / End-users reject high-priced offers / China's fundamentals of demand and supply remain unchanged

Southeast Asian polyethylene rates rose during the week ending October 23, driven by increased offers and some purchasing activity from converters in anticipation of the end-of-year season. High density polyethylene films increased $10/mt in the past week to $960/mt. Low density polyethylene films and linear low density film grades also increased $10/mt over the last week, respectively, at $990/mt & $1,170/mt. After the release of new Middle East offers this week, market sources reported an upward trend between $20 and $30/mt. HDPE film was offered in the $980-1,020/mt price range, LLDPE in the $1,000-1,040/mt price range, and LDPE in the $1200-1,210/mt price range.
