In the week ending September 18, Asian low density polyethylene was steady on a thin market. Some companies wanted to sell to Pakistan or Myanmar, but their risk departments did not want to accept long credit terms because of market uncertainty. The week was marked by slow trading, as key participants from China and Taiwan had just returned from their Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. South Korean participants are on holidays from September 16-18 because of the Chuseok Festival. Sources described stock levels as ample.
