butadiene markets remained stable in the week ending March 24. FOB China fell
$10/mt during the week. CFR
China butadiene price was stable throughout the day and week at $1.150/mt March
24, Sources said that spot price
discussions were not extensive as most end-users have met their short-term
needs. They said that spot supplies in
Asia, except China, were low due to lower steam cracker operations. Sources claim that some Asian steam crackers are considering
switching to LPG instead of naphtha. This would also decrease butadiene
production. China's butadiene market was
bearish. Prices fell Yuan 200/mt per day to Yuan 8,400/mt February 24, or
