Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) prices remained stable, with market sources attributing to mixed changes in upstream costs, along with thin demand in the week. ABS CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia were at $1.450/mt and $1.480/mt respectively, which was stable for the week ending April 30. Several market participants expected the market to be less active due to Labor Day holidays, with Chinese market participants out from May 1-5. The week's price discussions are expected to be stable due to the Labor Day holiday in some regions. Price discussions will likely be similar to last week's or have slight differences, as it is still being evaluated, an ABS producer said.
