European LLDPE Contracts Decline amid Weak Market Fundamentals / Weak demand from end users weighs down on the market / Spot prices fall amid limited trading

Contract prices in the freely-negotiated European linear lowdensity polyethylene markets dropped in the week to June 12,with continued weak fundamentals weighing on markets.Some settlements occurred over the week, with somemarket participants noting decreases ranging between Eur30-50/mt amid weak demand for material and continued lengthof supply.Low demand from end-user industries remained pressuringthe European LLDPE markets, with buyers maintaining a hand-tomouthapproach. A consumer stated that "demand is still not very good" and noted no change in "all of our businesses throughout Europe". The weakening market dynamics have led to a slight decline in spot prices on the LLDPE markets. According to data, the European LLDPE gradespot price on June 12 was Eur1,040/mt NWE FD. This is down Eur10/mt from the previous week.
