Asia Polyols and Isocyanates Prices Stable amid Low Market Activity / Domestic prices are rangebound / Slabstock demand is expected to increase

Prices of Asian polymeric diisocyanates were unchanged during the week ending Nov. 8 due to limited trading. Both slabstock polyol and PMDI were stable for the week, at $1.195/mt and $2.165/mt CFR India. The CFR India PMDI selling indications remained the same as the previous week, in the range of $2,200-2300/mt CFR India. PMDI is expected to stay stable until 2024. A market source said that electrical appliance demand typically increases in January. The PMDI ex-tank offers were unchanged from the previous weeks and heard between Rupees 190-195/kg, with a tradable price range of Rupees 190-192/kg. The selling indication for duty-free slabstock cargo of Thai origin was $1,200/mt, CFR India. This is unchanged from the previous week.
