Participants monitor impact of drone strike on Russia's Slavyansk Refinery / HPCL, India offers 33,000 mt naphtha for loading between May 16-18

The Asian naphtha market continued to grow as the end-users will be able to cover their H1 June requirements by midweek, before trading H2 June volumes begins on May 1. Market sources reported that participants were still monitoring the impact of a Russian drone attack on Slavyansk Refinery. Brokers pegged the May-June mean of Japan naphtha exchange time spread at 12/mt during midmorning Asian trading on April 29, an increase of 25 cents/mt over the previous session. Cash differentials will be higher due to the physical time spreads widening. Data showed that the H1 June/H2 Juni timespread increased to $3.75/mt by the Asian close on April 26.
