Asian paraxylene was marginally higher than the previous day, April 19, but demand indicators in Asia are still largely suppressed. Asian PX up $1/mt on the day at $1,057.33/mt CFR Taiwan/China on April 19.PX prices rose a tad in line with a modest gain in crude pricesovernight due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.At the April 19 Asian close, June ICE Brent crude was assessedat $87.23/b, up from $86.97/b the previous day.In terms of fundamentals, however, market participantscontinued to question the impact of gasoline blending demandon PX spot prices.Despite some flow of aromatics for blending from Asia to theWest, the higher inventories of PX in the region will pressure spotvalues, a PTA producer in North Asia said."I think because of high PX inventory, [prices are notrising much, and...
