Asian paraxylene CFR Taiwan/China and FOB Korea markers at $867.67/mt and $845.67/mt, respectively, Sept. 27, both up $20.50/mt on the day. PX prices rebounded Sept. 27, supported by purified terephthalic acid futures on China's Zhengzhou Commodities Exchange during the second trading session. The January 2025 contract was up Yuan 102/mt at Yuan 5,010/mt on Sept. 27. Meanwhile, a producer confirmed that some South Korean producers will reduce PX plant operating rates in the country in October, although a larger reduction in operating rates is expected in November.
