Prices for Asian Paraxylene increased on June 19, amid expectations of tightening supply in Asia, as China's production slowed. Asian paraxylene prices rose $8.33/mt in one day to $1,039/mt at CFR Taiwan/China on June 19. PX prices are now firmer due to a slight slowdown in Chinese production. Sources say that volatility in oil and naphtha is less likely to impact PX prices.
