The price of Asian toluene decreased from
day to day, in line with the overall energy complex on May 2. The
markers for toluene were rolled over to May 2, and the average was taken
between the first and second-half laycans. Trading sources cited
preliminary import-export figures for April 1-30 and said that there were no
transparent offers or bids during the Market on Close process. FOB Korea was
$863/mt – down $7/mt on a day. Trading
sources reported that the country imported 31,904mt from Japan, 8,760mt
from China, and 5,974mt Unv1. Few China-origin discussions were heard as
