Asian Orthoxylene Prices: Stable to lower prices over the week / Xylenes down over a week / Chinese domestic operating rates for most chemicals

On February 21, orthoxylene was stable and slightly lower than the previous week. FOB Korea was down $6/mt to $980/mt. CFR Southeast Asia remained stable at $950/mt. CFR China remained unchanged at $950/mt. FOB Korea's marker was $6/mt less at $980/mt at intraday values. This is in line with lower xylene and waning interest. The laycan is between March 13 and April 2. Trading sources report a slowdown in the demand from South Asia. On February 21, no buy-sell prices were agreed upon. According to trade sources, India's orthoxylene stock in Kandla increased to 2,526 mt compared to 1,647mt the previous week. China's OX port stock was steady at around 3,000mt. According to sources, the domestic China OX-based phthalic ahydride was priced lower at Yuan 7,100-7,200/mt compared to Yuan 7,250/mt...
