complex and-volatile upstream prices.-End-users around Asia said the phthalic
anhydride market-was still struggling with slow demand and fierce
competition-from lower priced exports from China CFR China PA down $30/mt week
on week-at $1,120/mt and CFR Southeast Asia down $15/mt at $1,210/-mt May
11.-Related aromatics markets also fell with feedstock isomergrade-mixed xylene
down $35.50/mt on the week at $895/mt-FOB Korea, while parallel product
paraxylene tumbled $44/mt to-$978/mt CFR Taiwan/China.-"Chinese OX demand
seems weak," a Northeast Asian trader-said May 12.-Earlier in the week,
China's Sinopec, the largest orthoxylene-producer in the country, lowered its
