negotiations- Southeast Asia demand is lowOn June 23, the Asian orthoxylene markets
showed signs of stability, although prices were slightly higher. The price of Asian
orthoxylene increased by $5/mt from week to week, reaching $1,025/mt for FOB
Korea. It also rose $1/mt to $1,030/mt for CFR China, and $5/mt to $1,055/mt
for CFR SEA, on June 23. The average
weekly value of isomer-mixed xylenes was higher this week compared to last,
with FOB Korea averaging $876.40/mt versus $872.10/mt. The spread between PX & naphtha remained relatively
stable and strong at $450 - $460/mt during the week, despite the fact that PX
prices dropped week over week. Sources
