The spot export price of polypropylene fell
by more than $100/mt in the week ending April 19 amid a discussion about lower
offers and a continued market length. On April 19, rail-car pricing ranged from 50-55 cents/lb. On April 19, a buyer made an offer of 45 cents/lb on packaged
PP resin. US spot export homopolymer PP
injection prices are $1,235/mt FAS Houston. This is $110-130/mt below the
previous day and week. The offer was considered, but further confirmation will
be required. Copolymer remains at a
premium of 3 cents ($66-71/mt), compared to homopolymer. Recent feedback suggests that North American producers are
