NYMEX July RBOB drops 5,64 cents/gal in one day / Europe doesn't expect MTBE imports: trader

MTBE prices fell by 5.64 cents/gal, or $20.02/mt, on the same day as the NYMEX RBOB. During the Market on Close process, Trafigura offered 25,000 MTBE barrels for delivery between June 4-8. The offer moved from July RBOB + 40 cents/gal down to July RBOB + 37 cents/gal. The offer did not attract any buyers, and no transactions were recorded in the session. On the day, the MTBE differential was unchanged at June RBOB plus 27,40 cents/gal. The price differential between FOB US Gulf Coast & FOB ARA was $37.24/mt. This is $4.02 higher than the previous day, as FOB ARA's prices dropped $16.
