FOB China nylon-6 price for semi-dull and bright grades is $1,525/mt on Feb. 5. This represents a $35/mt increase day-over-day, while still remaining within the trading range of $1,494-1,555/mt. On Jan. 28, prices were set at $1,490/mt. Full-dull variant was also assessed at $1.575/mt, a $35/mt increase day-over-day, and in line with the tradable indicators heard between $1,544-1,605/mt. On Jan. 28 the price was $1,540/mt. The producer in Northeast Asia attributes the higher prices to the positive post-holiday mood. The producer said that "the market is typically bullish after Lunar New Year", but cautioned that oil prices were softening and the demand was still subdued.
