FOB China nylon-6 prices for semi-dull and bright grades were $1,536/mt on Feb. 12. This was stable for the day, but an increase of $11/mt for the week. These prices are within the ranges for tradable indicators heard between $1,512 - $1,561/mt. The full-dull version was also assessed as stable for the day, but up $11/mt in the past week, at $1.586/mt. This is in line with the tradable indicators heard at $1.562-$1,611/mt. Participants on the market attribute the higher prices of nylon-6 resin to recent increases in feedstock costs. The recent increase in price has been backed by the strengthening benzene, and caprolactam as demand is still subdued," said a China-based manufacturer.
