FOB China nylon-6 prices for semi-dull and bright grades were $1,743/mt on Oct. 2. This was unchanged from the previous day, and down $14/mt on the week. This is in line with what the market indicated on Oct. 1, amid a quieter market. The full-dull grades were also assessed at $1,793/mt. This is in line with the latest tradable indicator heard on October 1 during a quiet market. As China was away during the Golden Week holiday from October 1-7, there was little activity on the Chinese domestic market. Taiwan-based manufacturer said that although there are still ongoing talks, the market will be more active following the Golden Week.
