Spot US export homopolymer injection polypropylene
prices fell 2 cents/lb (or $44-49/mt), weekly March 15, as exports
continued to be largely ineluctable amid propylene volatility. Spot US export homopolymer injection propylene
prices at $1.334-$1,356/mt FAS Houston. That's 55-56c/lb for railcars on March
15. This is down from a nearly 11-month high on March 8. PP Exports out of The
US grew nearly 25% over January's month, but North American export volumes
dropped more than 20% from February's month, according the American Chemistry
Council and US International Trade Commission data. February 9th, US
International Trade Commission data showed that PP production in North America
decreased 11% for the month and 2% for the year to 1.37 billion lb. These
