Participants in the Asian propylene markets maintained a wait and see attitude on May 16, as prices remained stable amid a rangebound bid/offer level. Sources said that buyers are sitting on higher inventories and do not feel the need to replenish them following the wave in buying activity seen in China last week. There is no buying interest on the market because buyers have stepped back. However, this could change once domestic China prices reach a certain point.
