Sources said that the general sentiment on
the European naphtha markets remained low due to no demand. There
were heavy sales in the Market on Closure assessment in London. At the start of
the MOC no buyers were registered. One
trade was made on a cargo of 28,000 mt. Prices fell along the curve and went
further into contan go. The CIF NWE May
naphtha exchange rate was down $37/mt for the day, to $597.25/mt. The May/June swap spread for naphtha was down 75c/mt to
minus $1/mt. June/July swap spreads were down 50c/mt to $2/mt.
