The fundamentals of methanol in Europe remained unchanged on 25 April. T2 methanol FOB Rotterdam is unchanged at Eur305.75/mt. On the day no deals were done, as opposed to the 2,000 mt traded on April 24, One market participant stated that the market was quiet, with "the majority of players" unsure where things will go after the ramp up mid-April. Methanex, a Canadian company, said that the repair of the Geismar 3 in Louisiana is on schedule for completion by the end third quarter. It also reported a higher first-quarter profit due to the supply shortage. Wartsila announced in a press release on April 25 that China's Cosco Shipping Lines, and Orient Overseas Container Line, have ordered methanol-fueled auxiliary engine from Wartsila.
