No deal heard on Day / Significant exports to Sweden Finland and Poland

The European methanol markets were quiet on June 6, ending an eight-day streak of rising prices. The price of T2 methanol FOB Rotterdam was unchanged at Eur330.25/mt. There were no deals heard, compared to the 20,000 mt traded on June 5. The previous day, trading activity spiked after news of disruptions to supply in Egypt and US led to increased buying on the European market. Stocks at a Rotterdam Terminal were reported to be between 60% and 65%, down from the previous week's 70%, with significant volumes being exported to Sweden Finland and Poland. Methanol production in Europe was also reported to be slowing down due to a slump in the intermediates market.
