The backwardation on the Northwest European Naphtha Market was relatively unchanged but still quite high. A trader in Europe said that the recent strength of the naphtha's backwardation structure was matched by the "stronger structure" of Brent (crude), which has seen higher prompt prices over the past few weeks. The crack spread, the difference between the front-month CIF CWE naphtha swap and the Dated Brent swap, narrowed slightly on the day. This shows the similarity in the trends for both products.
