Naphtha Crack Weakens / ARA stock falls slightly

The European naphtha market weakened on May 10 with lower physical markets and a smaller crack spread. In the Market on Close assessment, there were more offers than bids. However, a Gunvor offer for the front-end dates was the most competitive. The difference between the physical assessment of the market and the June swap has fallen to $19.75/mt, from $30.50/mt. In the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp market, naphtha stocks declined slightly on the week, down 1.7% to 575,000 mt. Stocks were impacted by a combination of gasoline blending and a slight drop in deliveries to Europe. According to data from sea shipping, the pace of deliveries of naphtha in Northwest Europe over a 30-day period was at its lowest level for six weeks as of 10 May.
