Prices of 2-ethylhexanol CFR China
continued to fall in the week ending June 8, as weak plasticizer demand coupled
with ample spot supply affected prices. In the week ending June 8, the price of 2-EH China dropped
to Yuan 8700/mt, a Yuan 400/mt drop. On an
import-parity base, this comes out to around $1024/mt CFR China. East China 2-EH has been heard to be traded at Yuan
9,000/mt, which is around $1,059/mt CFR China based on import-parity. A major plasticizer manufacturer said, "We've lowered
our DOP-selling indication due to the recent fall in price for 2-EH feedstock
