A trader stated that US benzene has been
falling in price over the last two months due to increased imports from South
Korea and other countries. The
trader stated that 162,000 mt of benzene were loaded in May for the US. Kpler shipping figures showed it estimated similar imports
in the US Gulf Coast Region: Customs data revealed that the average monthly
imports of benzene from January to April were 157.300 mt. The US imported an average of 139.200 mt per month in 2022. The trader stated that South Korea sends more benzene into
the US due to low demand in China. Estimated
imports of nearly 95,000 mt from South Korea in May are higher than the average...
