Asian MTBE fell $75.50/mt on
the day at $887.50/mt FOB Singapore March 16th, as the May ICE Brent crude oil
futures contract plunged $4.03/b to $74.48/b. Participants in the market
cited a substantial drop in MTBE trading activity due to lower crude oil
prices. "Market sellers are reluctant
to offer lower prices while buyers are more cautious about buying," a
trader said. A trader stated that everyone
is waiting for a rebound. The trader
stated that if crude oil prices continue to fall, Chinese domestic MTBE price
could drop in the coming weeks. According
to market sources, falling crude oil prices continue weighing on China's
gasoline market. South China's RON92 gasoline declined by Yuan 200/b per day to
