Asian MTBE prices fall despite volatility / Source: About 75,000 mt in Nov China cargo trades / Chinese oil players attend major domestic conference

On Oct. 18, Asian MTBE FOB Singapore was $754/mt. This is an increase of $10/mt. The MTBE factor at 1.108 remained unchanged. On Oct. 18, 92RON gasoline increased day-on-day to $80.55/b from $79.49/b. The 92RON gasoline spread compared to Brent crude rose from $5.04/b per day, Oct. 18. Crude oil was down week-on-week, averaging $74.46/b in October 18, down from $89.91/b. MTBE prices fluctuated but the FOB Singapore MTBE mark fell by $27.50/mt from week to week, down to $754/mt. A strong crude oil and gasoline market over the last few weeks prompted traders to transact several cargoes. The market was quieter at the end of the week, and no offers or bids were reported. One source reported earlier that Chinese producers had sold around 75,000 mt in spot cargo...
