Sources report that the FOB Singapore MTBE
was $980/mt, up $43/mt from day to day. This is due to a strong demand in the
Straits of Malacca and tight supply. During the Market on Close process on May 23, a total five
MTBE transactions were completed. Gunvor
sold two 2,000 mt cargoes to Aramco at $954/mt each and $980/mt for loading
between June 15-19. PTT also sold two
2,000-mt cargoes to Aramco at $980/mt for the same June 15-19 loading. PetroChina sold 2,000 mt to Aramco at $980/mt, for the same
