Asian MMA & PMMA: Prices slightly rise amid stronger aromatics and Chinese levels / Indian stock levels remain high / FOB China offers a slight edge

Prices for Asian MMA increased week-over-week, rising $10/mt to $1,480/mt CIF China on Jan. 15, and $10/mt to $1,580/mt CIF Southeast Asia. Sources said that the demand in the market was relatively unchanged from week to week, as this is a period of low demand. This week, the Indian market was not as interested in buying cargo. Sources said that it was due to the high inventory levels in India and the fact that buyers preferred to use domestic stock before importing more MMA.
