Asian MMA prices remained stable from week to week. Chinese prices were $1,500/mt CIF China on Feb. 5, whereas Southeast Asian prices were $1,610/mt CIF Southeast Asia. A source said that the Chinese MMA market is beginning to reopen on February 5, but no new offers have been made yet. According to one source, the markets were mostly closed during the week of January 28. While the Korean and Taiwanese market reopened earlier this week, China is still expected to open on February 5. According to sources, Chinese producers will consider their prices after the long holiday, once they have fully assessed the news of the new US tariffs.
