Asian MMA & PMMA: Prices fall as offers drop / FOB China offers in December drop to $1,400-1.450/mt / Indian purchasing ideas are in freefall

The Asian MMA markets was down week-on-week. On Nov. 20, China prices dropped by $55/mt to $1.410/mt CIF China, while Southeast Asia prices dropped by $65/mt to $1.510/mt CIF SEA. FOB China prices continued to fall during this period of low demand. China made the lowest offer in Asia for December-loading MMA cargoes, at $1,400-1450/mt, FOB China. Taiwan offered $1,500-1.570/mt for December-loading MMA. Sources said that Indian buyers were looking to buy cargo at around $1,350/mt CFR India for cargo arriving in January. A source in Asia said, however, that sellers would not entertain such low-level buying ideas as $1,350/mt for CFR India.
