Asian MMA & PMMA: Prices increase as domestic values firm up / The offer is still around $1,450/mt FBO China and above / Indian buyers are still not in the buying mode

The Asian MMA market prices increased week-on-week, with the domestic price increasing over the course of the week. China's offers were also on the rise. On Dec. 11, the China price increased $17/mt, to $1450/mt CFR China. The Southeast Asia prices also rose $17/mt, to $1550/mt CFR SE Asia. Asia-based trading sources said China's offers for January cargo loading were stable between $1,450 and $1480/mt FOB China. Last week, an offer of $1,400-1,450/mt FOB China was made, but later sources said that this offer is hard to find. A source in the UNV1 industry said that customers are looking for better prices and the $1,500/mt for January target is hard to meet.
