Asian methylmethacrylate prices fell $5/mt from the previous week to $2,080/mt, CFR China, and $2,245/mt, CFR Southeast Asia, on June 12. Market sources stated that freight from China to India for a 1,000-2,001-mt cargo was approximately $120-$130/mt. Market sources stated that freight from Taiwan to Vietnam for a 1,000 to 2,000 mt cargo cost around $80-$100/mt. Those from east China to Indonesia were around $70/mt. Sources said that the supply of MMA in Taiwan was limited due to the demand on the domestic market.
Asian MMA Daily Rationale
CFR Southeast Asia MMA fell $5/mt in the day to $2,240/mt, following the downward trend of Chinese prices.
Asian PMMA Daily Argumentation
CFR Southeast Asia PMMA, assessed at $2.535/mt, was down $5/mt from the previous day due to lower MMA upstream prices.
