Asian MMA & PMMA: Prices Stable as China Market Stabilizes / India's buyers purchase quantities due to market decline / Source: PMMA not recovering after Lunar New Year's demand

On March 12, the Asian methylmethacrylate market was weaker than usual, but stable. China prices dropped $5/mt to $1,375/mt CFR China. On March 12, the Southeast Asia market was unchanged week over week, at $1.505/mt CFR Southeast Asia. China's domestic prices stabilised during the week following the decline of previous weeks. It was not possible to verify an offer made by China at $1,350-1,380/mt for FOB China in April. Other offers ranged from $1,380 to $1390/mt for shipment in late March or the first half of April, or higher than $1,400/mt. Producers and traders both agreed, however, that the demand in Asia and beyond was bleak. A source said that a cargo traded in the Indian market at $1,450/mt CFR West Coast India.
