Due to a slower pace of business in the lead-up to the Lunar New Year, prices for Chinese methylmethacrylate were unchanged week over week on Jan. 22, at $1500/mt CFR China. MMA prices in Southeast Asia rose by $10/mt to $1,610/mt for the period. MMA prices in China ranged around $1,500/mt for cargoes loading in February. Sources on the market reported that there were no notable trades. Participants had effectively concluded their activities for the entire week before the holidays. According to a source on the market, in India, the Kandla Port's inventories remained at 10,000 mt for the entire week. Demand was reportedly lagging.
