On Oct. 16, Asian MMA fell by $30/mt from the previous week to $1,630/mt, CFR China, while Southeast Asia dropped by $90/mt, at $1900/mt, CFR SEA, on the same day. Sources said that prices in Asia recovered during the current week as domestic Chinese prices faced resistance to further price drops. According to market sources, Chinese demand for MMA is starting to reappear as prices on the domestic Chinese market have stopped falling and are now rising again. This started early this week.
