Prices fell on the Asian MMA Market in the week ending March 5, as a result of low demand and deteriorating market sentiment. China prices dropped and CFR China MMA assessment fell by $30/mt from the previous week to $1,375/mt, while Southeast Asia also saw a $30/mt drop at $1.485/mt CFR Southeast Asia, on March 5. Last week and this past week, domestic China prices fell due to the erosion of demand. However, a source stated that the MMA operations rates in China are still around 55%-60%. FOB China prices for MMA fell this week due to a lack of demand from the US, Europe, and India.
