Blowmolding was the exception," said a source. The US dollar was trading at Peso 19,77/$ in September, after hitting a high of Peso 19,87/$ for the year to date on August 29, according to Capital IQ. The majority of PE in Mexico are traded in US dollar terms. A stronger dollar can be seen as a deterrent for buyers, even if the peso price does not change.
