India Methanol prices: stable to soft amid mixed Fundamentals / Ex-tank discussions fall amid low demand / CFR Market Stable Despite Wide Buy-Sell Gap / Healthy Iranian supply for healthy inventory

The Indian methanol trade was a bit quiet, with a mixed view of the market. This is due to the expected decline in demand from end users ahead of Diwali celebrations that start in the week beginning October 28. The domestic ex-tank market for methanol fell to Rupees 26,75/kg on October 25, after rising to Rupees 27,50-28/kg on October 23. The ex-tank Kandla, Mumbai, and Hazira offers ranged between Rupees 26,75-27/kg. Hazira, however, was offered at Rupees 27, up Rupees 0.25/kg from the previous day but down Rupees 0.25-0.25/kg for the week. According to data, import parity levels were in the range of $295-$297/mt. Early November arrival cargoes are being offered at Rupees 26,50/kg. The decline was mainly due to a slowing demand, limited end-user enquiries and healthy port inventories....
