Asian Methanol prices: stable to weak amid mixed fundamentals / China's coastal methanol inventories rise 9.61% in a week / High Middle East-South Korea shipping rates support CFR Korea pricing

India's monsoon season is expected to be a slow one. Fundamentals in Asia methanol were at a stable or soft level in theweek ending June 14. In China, the restarting of several methanol plants north of the country impacted inland prices. These prices were around Yuan 2,390-2,430/mt, down Yuan70/mt, or $9.7/mt, on theweek. In east China, prices were softened due to expectations of more supply in July. Coastal inventory Market sources stated that inventory was still low when compared to the usual 800,000-900,000.mt levels. Discussions on dollar-denominated freights began higher earlier in theweek at $310-315/mt CFR China. A deal was completed at $308/mt CFR China. However, prices becamesofter as the week advanced and a deal concluded at $305/mt CFR China. Spot cargoes were offered for July at $305/mt June 14....
