Market fundamentals that support the upward trend continue to be bullish. CFR India reached its highest level in February 2023. The upward trend continued for a third consecutive week. Sources said that domestic ex-tank Kandla, Mumbai and other offers were also higher on the day by Rupees 1 kg and Rupees 3/kg for the week. This brought import parity to levels above $350/mt. The CFR trade increased during the week ending Dec. 13, as there were higher bids on non-sanctioned goods due to tighter Iranian supplies in January. The bids of $320/mt for CFR Hazira on Dec. 12 increased to $325/mt during the early trading hours, before reaching $330/mt just before the Market closed Dec. 13.
