The US Gulf Coast spot price of methanol
remained stable on June 12, amid stable fundamentals. The market reported that there was little
activity as methanol price remained stable for the fourth consecutive session. No trades
or bids were made for July and June at 78 cents/gal. US
International Trade Commission data from June 12 showed that US methanol
imports between January and April fell by 38.3% compared to the previous year. Sources
claim that 50.2% all US exports were to European countries between January and
April, as the European market is still well supplied. According
