Indian traders were under pressure to sell, and local discussions on extanks at the Kandla and Mumbai ports ranged between Rupee 25,25,25/kg. "End-users are bidding too low.We are struggling to sell even at Rupee 25.25/kg ex-tank," animportersaid.Hazira port offers were heard in the Rupee 25.75-26/kg range,against buying interest heard at Rupee 25.50/kg. Import parity levels were between $279 and $285 per mt. We have stopped selling and are now trying to purchase material from local traders due to a weaker market for ex-tanks. A trader stated that the Kandla port's inventory is concentrated in a few hands. About 38,560mt of methanol were expected to arrive at Mumbai in the week ending on July 26.
