The Indian methanol market slipped on March 7 amid bearishfundamentals and lackluster buying activity.Domestic ex-tank discussions were softer in the week ofMarch 7, with offers heard in the range of Rupees 34.00-34.25/kgat Kandla and Mumbai ports, down from Rupee 1.51/kg week overweek amid active selling interest amid Indian traders. Despite atight inventory of around 41,000 mt at Kandla port, ex-tank priceswere softer as importers had booked enough profits, and giventhat consumer demand had tapered down at elevated levels.CFR trading was thin as market participants preferred towait before deciding their April purchase prices.
