As tensions escalated in the Middle East, Asian methanol closed the week higher on Monday April 19. Trading discussions in China focused on the Aprilloadingcargoes. Sentiment strengthened amid volatilityin the upstream oilmarket. Market sources reported that despite a lackluster demand from end users in China, import cargoes, and domestic prices, rose because of concerns about supply stability.
