Prices of Asian methanol fell by $2-$4/mt last week due to a lackluster demand, and the anticipation that ample Iranian methanol supplies will arrive in China and India between July and August. The prospect of 1.2m mt methanol stocks by the end July in China weighed heavily on the market sentiment. Methanol inventories in East and South China increased 12.30% over the past week, reaching 866,000mt on Wednesday, according to data from sources.
