Prices of polyethylene CFR in Mercosur increased in the week ending July 3. Meanwhile, Buenos Aires' prices remained unchanged amid the volatility in the Argentinian dollar which affected local activity.

Participants in the Mercosur market said that prices had risen over the past week, and could increase further following the impact of Hurricane Beryl which passed through the Caribbean region on July 3. According to a source in Paraguay, PE prices have moved in tandem with freight price adjustments for the second week in a row. This is based on material of US origin. The source stated that "I just received US prices with levels rising by $30/mt up to $35/mt in comparison to last week".
